About Us
We are a group of Lorain County citizens committed to raising funds to help the Haitian Earthquake victims.
When catastrophe strikes at home or abroad, as news coverage diminishes and Lorain Countians begin to turn their attentions to daily minutia, those of us who want to help are left with fewer and fewer resources for information on how or where to direct our inquiries or services. To that end, we decided to take on a project ourselves. We chose to organize a 5K run/walk to raise funds to donate to a Habitat for Humanity. At present, basic survival and recovery efforts in Haiti are at a frenzy, however, in the long-run, Habitats services will be most valued in re-establishing secure housing for Haitian families in the future.
